Smt. Vishakha Hari

Harikatha Exponent

Smt. Vishakha Hari is a is a practitioner of the ancient beautiful form of art called Harikatha or Katha keerthan. Herein, she weaves beautiful stories of value and wisdom interspersed with mellifluous songs of yesteryear great composers. Her themes are varied and are generally from our great epics and puranas like the Ramayan and Srimad Bhagavatha Puranam. She presents Harikathas in Tamil and English and the songs are from all South Indian languages, Hindi and Sanskrit. Her gurus are Shri. Lalgudi G Jayaraman, the great violin maestro for music, Shri Krishna Premi Swamigal and Shri R. Hari for katha (story component).


Dr. S. Vijeyajaya

Head, Dept of Carnatic Music, PSG CAS, Coimbatore

Dr. S Vijeyajaya is the Head and Associate Professor in the Department of Carnatic Music, PSG CAS. She conducted lecture demonstration on Musical Aspects in Prahladha Charithramu of Melattur Bhagavatha Mela in Indian Music Seminar conducted by the Department of Music, PSG College of Arts and Science,Coimbatore during the year 1995. She acted as an Organizing Committee Member in the UGC sponsored National Level Music Seminar conducted by the Department of Music, PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore during the year 1997.


Kum. Varsha Bhuvaneswari

Harikatha Expert

Kum. Varsha Bhuvaneswari started learning Harikatha at the age of 6,from the Harikatha legend Kalaimamani Late Thanjavur TR Kamala Murthy and had her Arangetram at the age of 7,in 2010. Following this she was featured regularly in Bhakthi Thiruvizha of star Vijay TV Varsha has performed at various Sabhas including the Music Academy Madras,Shanmugananda Sabha Mumbai,Narada Gana Sabha, Brahma Gana Sabha and has been featured in Jaya Tv,DD Podhigai and Zee TV.She was invited by Swaralaya for performing in Sydney youth Festival NSW, And the Vedic Society of Victoria at Melbourne, Australia in July 2019. She is the recipient of Dr.M.S Subbulakshmi Fellowship in Music from Mumbai Shanmukhananda Sabha, and has been awarded the prestigious Yuva Kala Bharathi award from Bharat Kalachar recently. Presently, Varsha is under the able guidance of Harikatha Chudamani Sri Madurai TN Seshagopalan
