Pictures snapping up India as a backdrop have tried to capture her colour, vibrancy, sound and smells. From temple iconography, to historical forts and ramparts, to pictures of India’s rich biodiversity, there is much to discover from images that invoke India’s rich and varied heritage.

Shri. SVL Narayan

Marketing Consultant

SVL Narayan is a Marketing Consultant and Brand Evangelist. During SVL's career, spanning over 35 years, his experience encompassed a panoramic perspective of strategic business processes across industries- Information Technology, FMCG, Automotive, and Industrial products. He has also been involved in the listing of two companies on international stock exchanges. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers. He is a keen writer and recently published a book.

Mr. James Godber

Photographer, Environmentalist and Diplomat (UK)

James Godber is a diplomat, currently working at the British Deputy High Commission in Bengaluru. Having read Environmental Economics at the University of York, UK, he initially entered the UK Civil Service in the Department for Environment working on energy and climate policies. He has since made a career in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, serving in China and Qatar as well as in London before coming to India in 2017. Travel has enabled him to develop his photography and he is thrilled to have had the opportunity to experience India’s natural environments as well as the culture and cities.

Mr. Christian de Vietri

Artist (USA)

Christian de Vietri is an artist based in New York. His art education took place at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris where he completed a Bachelor of Fine Art and Columbia University in New York City where he completed a Master of Fine Art. His art work is informed by rigorous training in Mayonic Science and Technology, and the study and practice of Kashmir Shaivism. His sculptures have been exhibited and collected internationally for the past 20 years, and he has been the recipient of several awards including Citizen of the Year for his contribution to visual art in Australia. Christian will be speaking about the Mahāsiddha Matsyendranath and the sculpture he created in his honor.

Mr. Pieter Welteverde

Sanatan Society (the Netherlands)

Pieter Weltevrede began his artistic studies with Harish Johari in 1977 and also studied with Shri Chandra Bal. He lives in Holland with his wife and two children and travels to India annually.

Shri. Srikumar Menon

Architect (India)

Dr. Srikumar M. Menon is an architect specializing in ancient and early architecture of the Indian subcontinent. Srikumar’s academic interests focus on ancient architecture – prehistoric monuments, as well as later monuments, such as stupas and temples. He is the author of two books – Ancient Stone Riddles: Megaliths of the Indian Subcontinent and Comets: Nomads of the Solar System, both published by Manipal University Press.
