We are a country with a history going back to several thousands of years. Indian Soft Power comprises Spirituality, Yoga, Ayurveda, Cuisine, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Textiles, Handicrafts, Languages and Indigenous Knowledge Systems, and it is certain that they can offer solutions to many of the global challenges
we face today.

Shri. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe

President, Indian Council for Cultural Relations

Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe is a nationalist social worker at heart, a researcher-student of political science and trainer in democracy by profession and a Parliamentarian by elevation. Dr. Sahasrabuddhe is a post-Graduate in English Literature and a Ph.D. in Political Science, both from the University of Mumbai. A Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha ( Upper House of Indian Parliament) from Maharashtra, since July 2016, Dr Sahasrabuddhe is the President at Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) (www.iccr.gov.in), India’s Soft Power promotion establishment. Dr Sahasrabuddhe is currently also the Vice President at Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP) ,(www.rmponweb.org), a unique institution of which he was the Director General for over two decades. RMQP which is one of its kind research and training academy for elected representatives and social workers. One of the many caps that Dr. Sahasrabuddhe wears, is that of the Vice President of Indian Social Responsibility Network ( ISRN), a Delhi based organisation.

Mr. Simon Anholt

Policy Advisor (UK)

Mr. Simon Anholt is an independent policy advisor who has worked with the Heads of State and Heads of Government of 56 nations to help improve their economic, political and cultural engagements with the international community. Anholt publishes the Good Country Index, a study measuring the impact of each of 163 countries on the rest of humanity and the planet. Anholt’s latest book, The Good Country Equation, will be published by Berrett-Koehler on August 11th, 2020.

Mr. Jonathan Lipman

Director, AIA & Associates (USA)

Jon Lipman, AIA is North America’s leading practitioner of Vastu architecture, and he has had a distinguished career spanning architectural practice, historic preservation, museum curating, and academia. He is also a New York Times praised author. His architectural practice has been devoted exclusively to the practice of Maharishi Vastu ® architecture for the past twenty-three years. Jon is the director of MaharishiVastu.Org, which provides consulting services in Maharishi Vastu architecture and planning, and is the city architect for the first Vastu city in the modern era, Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, where he resides. He has given hundreds of lectures on the subject in the US, Canada, the Caribbean, Middle East, and Asia, and has collated medical and scientific research that validates the reality of the effects of this extraordinary system.

Mr. Magnus Dauner

Percussionist (Germany)

Mr. Magnus Dauner studied Jazz at the Univ. of Music and Theater in Munich through the Bavarian State Youth Jazz Orchestra, the music diploma and basic military service in the mountain music corps of Bundeswehr. He studied the Indian Rhythm and the classic South Indian Mridangam from Vidwan Shri. TAS Mani at the Karnataka College of Percussion, India. He has toured around the world and has played in many European Countries and also in some Asian Countries.

Mr. Greg Ellis is an American drummer and percussionist, known for his work in film and world music living in Los Angeles.

Mr. Rutger Kortenhorst

Sanskrit Department, John Scottus School (Ireland)

Mr. Rutger Kortenhorst hailing from the Netherlands holds a Masters Degree in French and has also completed his course in Advaita Vedanta Practical Philosophy. He is currently working on translating Bhagvad Gita and make a color-coded version online.

Lakshmi Mohanbabu

Artist, Architect, Fashion designer

Lakshmi is a Singaporean Artist, Jewellery designer, Architect (B.Arch, Manipal University) and a Fashion designer (The National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi), who grew up in Kabul, Afghanistan. She started her career as an Architect, moved on to illustrate books for the Voluntary Health Association of India and the WHO in the area of disability, became a Fashion designer, Educator/Mentor at NIFT, Delhi and Lasalle College of the Arts and now devotes her time to being an artist of many mediums. Her art has been featured as a mosaic animation on the largest HD screen in the world at Singapore’s Suntec City, will have permanent residence on the moon by 2022, has been featured in prominent galleries and may now be viewed at Singapore’s iconic Raffles hotel. Her approach to art is to translate her ideas into all facets of design and spans a multitude of disciplines - that which may be viewed, is wearable, liveable and usable such as painting, clothing, jewellery, living spaces, sculpture, furniture, crockery etc. to make art a truly immersive experience.
