Dr. Somit Kumar Ghosh

Dr. Somit Kumar currently works as the Director and Chief Scientific Officer at the Clinical Research and Pharmaceutics, AVP Research Foundation. He received BAMS degree from Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Vishwa Mahavidyalaya, Kanchhipuram in 2005 and his MD from Rajiv Gandhi Univ of Health Sciences, Bengaluru . He has also doone PG Certificate course of Clinical Research and Clinical Data Management from Pune in 2007.

Dr G Gangadharan

MSR

Prof. (Dr) G. G. Gangadharan completed a unique residential 7½ years Graduate Medical Degree in Ayurveda (BAMS) from Madras University in 1985. He also holds a PhD from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune and Master of Management degree pursuant to the International Masters in Health Leadership (IMHL), a two year post-doctoral international management program for outstanding senior health leaders, from McGill University, Canada. He is one of the few healthcare professional in the country to have received the prestigious fellowship from the Ashoka Innovators for the Public, USA (FAIP). He is the Director of Ramaiah Indic Specialty Ayurveda – Restoration Hospital (RISA), NAHB accredited 100-bed multi-specialty Ayurveda based integrative hospital in Bengaluru. He is an expert on authentic Ayurveda methods of diagnosis, especially pulse diagnosis and treatment, and successfully treats lifestyle disorders. He started his career with Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, Coimbatore, where he was renowned for his immense contributions including development of new dosage forms and novel traditional Ayurveda formulations. As a technical director and vice-president at Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, he continued to practice Ayurveda and actively lead many initiatives to promote Ayurveda and use of medicinal plants.

Dr A.V Balasubramanian

Center for Indian Knowledge Systems

A.V. Balasubramanian obtained his MSc degree in Chemistry from Bangalore University and did a Post MSc diploma in Molecular Biophysics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Later he studied Physiology and Biophysics at the State University of New York at Stonybrook. Since 1982 he has been involved in work relating to various aspects of Traditional Indian Sciences and Technologies and trying to explore their current relevance and potential. In 1995 he founded the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (CIKS), an institution devoted to exploring the contemporary relevance and applications of Indian Knowledge Systems, particularly in the area of sustainable agriculture. He has been a member of several committees of the Government of India (Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Rural Development and Ministry of Human Resources Development) as well as on the Editorial Board of several Magazines and Journals (such as the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine). Besides agriculture he also has an active interest in other areas of Indian knowledge systems, including indigenous health and yoga as well as the epistemology of traditional knowledge systems. For his contributions in the area of indigenous traditions of Sciences and Technologies he was the recipient of an honorary doctorate awarded by the Gandhigram Rural University, Gandhigram, Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, in 2010. He is one of the Founding Trustee of CIKS and currently Director of the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems.

Ms Larisa Ambrogio

Founder, Agneya

Ms. Larisa Ambrogio is a translator and interpreter from Argentina. Her first encounter with Ayurveda was in 2013, when she attended the Intensive Course on Ayurveda in AVP Mangarai. In 2014 she came back as an interpreter of the same course. She claims that Ayurveda opened her eyes to a new perspective of life allowing her to take life changing decisions and to integrate her profession as an interpreter, her passion for cooking and her training in Ayurvedic massage. Larisa is based in the UK where she works as a Public Service Interpreter and also is the interpreter of classes delivered from Saigram for the three-year Ayurveda Course at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Rosario and for the Nicaragua course. She’s also a founding member of Agneya (Association for the study and dissemination of Ancestral Medicines)

Mr. Bruno Cine Ribeiro do Carmo

Ayurveda Professional, Naradeva Shala Institute, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Bruno Carmo (Badrinath das) Post-graduated as an Ayurveda Practitioner by Naradeva Shala Institute in 2016. He graduated in Biological Sciences at UNICAMP, Master in Science Teaching (USP), post-graduated in Clinical Phytotherapy (Faculdade do Litoral Paranaense). He attended the Ayurveda courses at AVP (Arya Vaidya Pharmacy), in Coimbatore, India, in 2017, 2018 and 2019, which covered the topics Bhaishajya Kalpana, Aharapaka and Stri Roga.

Prof Antonio Lacerda

Ayurveda Professional, Member ABRA-Brazilian Association of Ayurveda board of Directors

Antonio Lacerda, is an Ayurvedic therapist, massage therapist and aromatherapist. He has worked professionally for 40 years with IT in large companies in Brazil. He started his Ayurveda studies in 2014 and did a training in Ayurveda by ABRA-Associação Brasileira de Ayurveda, in addition to other courses in several schools in Brazil. Since 2016 he has performed Ayurveda consultations in the city of Curitiba, Paraná state, southern Brazil. He is the teacher in the training course for Ayurvedic Therapists at ABRA in several cities in Brazil and in the Massage Therapy course at Inspirar College in Curitiba. He is currently on the boards of ABRA and Conayur Brasil, the National Ayurveda Self-Regulatory Council.

Bojana Iskra studied English and Spanish Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and has vast experience working as an educator, translator, project manager and grant writer. She has been in leadership positions for years as a volunteer in different organisations. Bojana is an educator and an avid herbalist and lifelong learner. She is deeply interested in helping people to live a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle and become their best selves. She enjoys using spices and plants in her cooking and as home remedies.

Dr.AramyaAR, Consultant,AVP Group of Institutions, Coimbatore Joined The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy in 2007 and is been part of AVP Research Foundation from 2010. Presently am a Consultant, AVP Group of Institutions, has been working with Pharmaceuticals department and Musculoskeletal department of AVPRF Speciality clinics. Was fortunate to be trained under the stalwarts in Ayurveda Dr.Jayakrishnan and worked with DrRamManohar. Has been part of the Academic wing of AVP and has presented in many national and international seminars. Interests-Validation of concept of Ayurveda, finding the missing links in research and merging with other disciplines of Science so as to enable Research in Ayurveda evolve and unfurl the mystery in Ayurveda. Understand the need to work on various formulations, streamline research to understand the targetsite.
