Ms. Birsu Gizem Sen

Owner, Goranga Yoga Centre, Head of AVP Turkey

Ms. Gizem studied Philosophy and Sociology in Middle East Technical University and has lived in Germany for seven years after university and studied “ Heilpraktiker” holistic medicine including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy and Phytotherapy along with many therapies such as shiatsu, tuina, reflexology and classical massage, therapeutic yoga. She has also been writing articles regularly on Ayurveda for magazines. She started a yoga center called Goranga Yoga Center seven years ago and began studying basics of Ayurveda with Dr. Somit Kumar and assisting him for translation and organization of educational programs in Turkey and also consultations. She is running a vegan vegetarian restaurant called Govinda and cooking according to Ayurvedic principles, consulting people about dietetic and lifestyle, giving seminars on different festivals and organizations in Turkey as well as abroad

Documentary Filmmaker

Shri Anandha Jyothi first met his spiritual teachers when he was 20 years old and they widened his vision and changed the course of his life. He studied Classical Music, Philosophy, Upanishads, Tantra during his stay in Himalayas and Varanasi mostly among other sacred parts of India. He studied Comparitive Philosophy in Greece for one year. He then moved on to Brazil to gather new experiences and interact with extraordinary people all the way from the vibrant cities to the spirited jungle. He is a film maker with a spiritual purpose.

Dr Beatrice Deschamps is working in France, Paris as an Independent consultant in Ayurveda. She completed her PhD in Corporate Finance in 2000, She holds a BAMS from Shri Gulab Kunverba Mahavidyaayan, Jamnagar (Gurarat Ayurved University) and a PG course Natural products, Pharmacy, lille France.

Dr. Valdis Pirags

Head of The Department of Internal Medicine, University of Latvia, Riga , Latvia

Prof. Dr. Med. Valdis Pirags (LV) is Professor of internal medicine. He heads the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Latvia. He is also Chairman of the Latvian Association of Endocrinologists and Council Member of the European Association for Diabetes Research. He started his academic career as a junior research fellow (1990–92). Since 1992 he worked at the Medical Faculty of medicine of the Medical Academy of Latvia. He has led the National Research Programme BIOMEDICINE (2007-2014) and has worked as research project manager of the European Union in Latvia. The main areas of activity of Dr Pirags in medicine are the late complications of diabetes, the genetics of endocrine diseases
