Ms. Sangeetha Kadur

Wild life artist

Sangeetha Kadur finds her niche as a nature and wildlife artist. She aspires to capture wilderness on paper and canvas, and draw attention to the fascinating natural world that surrounds us. She often works with various wildlife organisations in creating educational outreach material. Illustrating for an international publication, a big coffee table book project on 'Hummingbirds', opened her up to the finer world of natural history illustrations. Among her recent big endeavour is the art curation and design for the 'Holematthi Nature Information Centre', adjacent to Malai Mahadeshwara Wildlife Sanctuary, in collaboration with Nature Conservation Foundation. A project that has been a lot more meaningful and helped take her work to a wider audience. Sangeetha has also illustrated for two nature themed children's book along with Pratham. Her works have been published across a wide range of journals, books and magazines. Travels to diverse landscapes have given Sangeetha the best opportunities to observe animals within their habitat and helped gain a better understanding of our wilderness. Maintaining a meticulous nature journal is at the core of her process and has further inspired her to capture the essence, beauty and diversity of nature. Combined by a strong urge to share her passion for creating art from the natural world, she co-founded 'GreenScraps', nature journaling workshops, with a hope to inspire a new generation of nature artists.

Ms. Jan Martin McGuire

Wildlife Artist, Conservationist, Naturalist

Jan Martin McGuire is known as an artist and naturalist who paints nature’s diversity. Born in the foothills of the Rockies in Colorado she developed an early love of the out of doors. As an inveterate tomboy she spent her days climbing trees, catching snakes and drawing the animals she loved. This love of nature stayed with her when her parents moved to Oklahoma when she was twelve. Recognizing her art ability, her parents encouraged her to pursue her calling by enrolling her in art classes at the local art museum. She continued her studies by majoring in fine art at the University of Tulsa. The curriculum of totally modern/abstract art soon stifled Jan however, and she quit to follow her own path.
