SoftTalk 7: Indian Arts and Literature in the UK with Amish Tripathi and Sandeep Virdi

Center for Soft Power will be hosting a webinar: Indian Art and Literature in the UK on June 14th at 8 pm bringing together Amish Tripathi, Indian diplomat, columnist, and author and Director of The Nehru Centre, London along with Sandeep Virdi, Director of the iconic Darbar festival of Indian music and dance in the UK.

Amish Tripathi is known for his Shiva and Ram Chandra trilogies. In 2017, Tripathi launched his first non-fiction book, Immortal India. Tripathi's books sold over 5 million copies in the Indian subcontinent since 2010.

Sandeep Virdi in an interview with Aparna Sridhar for the Economic Times says there are things that traditional organisers ignore at their own peril. “The feel and touch of the marketing materials, the choice of venues for performances, the production values of the performance — staging, lighting and vitally the sound of the music, all go a long way in making an evening special.”  He has presented Indian music and dance to great acclaim and popularity.
